MEET Rafer

The Advocate Commissioner

Rafer Johnson is a visionary and widely respected leader who continuously works to make a difference. He has been a homeowner & resident in District 6 for over 19 year and lives to inspire others for only one result - ensuring we all THRIVE TOGETHER!

He has a fierce passion for our community and for us all to thrive using our talents, skills, and passion. This is what Fulton District 6 deserves and why Rafer seeks to consistently bring progress.

District 6, however, has too often been left out or behind. Sometimes, we are not even invited to the table. That changes with Rafer Johnson as The Advocate Commissioner. Rafer will use not only the authority of the Commission to ensure District 6 is at the table, but also using the office of Commissioner to help lead across platforms, agencies, across the aisle and leveraging Fulton’s global sister cities relationships to deliver results for D6!

As he enters his 53rd year, Rafer brings to the table;

  • A successful business track record in the healthcare, transportation, safety, and hospitality industries for 30+ years.

  • A super bridge-builder & networker who has connected alliances for real progress and will do the same for District 6 & Fulton County as a whole.
